Tell us a little bit about yourself
My name is Perrine Vallet, I am originally from Paris, France and have lived in Spain, Scotland and Singapore - I love exploring new cultures and getting a fresh perspective. I’ve been in Stockholm with my husband and kids for more than 10 years now, and still find it ‘exotic’.
What led you to discover Your Brand Travel, and what motivated your decision to become a part of the team? Additionally, how long have you been involved with the team?
I came across Your Brand Travel by chance really, seeing an ad for the Marketing Manager position earlier this spring. I was intrigued, visited the website, found the concept hugely interesting, and decided to reach out to Tamer, our CEO.
What role do you currently hold at Your Brand Travel, and what aspects of this role do you find most fulfilling or enjoyable?
I am Marketing Manager at Your Brand Travel, and really enjoy the large scope that the role entails. As the team and the company are continuing their growth journey, I have the chance to work closely with all team members, doing both strategic and tactical work in all kinds of settings. I really thrive in fast-paced environments, where no two days are alike, and this is exactly what Your Brand Travel is to me.
What do you think sets Your Brand Travel apart in the travel and experience industry?
Coming from a background in marketing and branding, what I saw first was the tremendous potential for brand differentiation, customer engagement and loyalty. We create tailor-made experiences with cherry picked partners, in line with each brand’s identity, target groups and business objectives, building meaningful connections through our unique, innovative brand experience platform. That’s a massive win-win for both brands and customers and opens up additional opportunities for our partners too.
Could you share some insights into your previous professional experiences and the types of projects or tasks you've been involved in before joining Your Brand Travel?
I’ve been working in a variety of brand, communication and marketing positions in Europe and Asia, for both small startups and large corporations, at local and global level, on the consultant side as well as on the industry side. I started in the automotive industry and quicky moved over to healthcare, which has been my primary – but not only - focus over the past 15 years. I truly enjoy working from strategy to go-to-market plans and through to implementation across channels and geographies. The more complex, cross-functional and regulated the environment the better!
Outside of work, how do you like to spend your free time? Any hobbies or activities that you're particularly passionate about?
Family and friends take up most of my free time. I am a very social person with a wide variety of interests, so I am always eager to learn and embark on new adventures.
I am a real health enthusiast too, so I prioritize functional movement and good food as much as possible. I coach groups and individuals in nutrition and exercise, give talks and hold workshops in companies, and am an instructor at Friskis & Svettis, Sweden’s largest gym organization. Leading a group through workouts and seeing the smiles and sweat on their faces afterwards is a very pleasant feeling. When I need to recharge and get my energy balance in check, I take long walks around Stockholm or workout.
One thing I am proud of is to be a volunteer at Min Stora Dag, an NGO that creates meaningful experiences for children with serious diseases or diagnostics. It’s fantastic to see how a little of my time can create strong experiences for these children and their families, away from the harsh reality of serious conditions and long hospital visits. That gives me a strong sense of purpose.
